The Arleta Parent Teacher Association (PTA) welcomes everyone—parents, caregivers, teachers, staff, grandparents, neighbors, and friends—who want to support our school and learn more about it.
The PTA plays a crucial, often behind-the-scenes role in our school community, enhancing campus life in many ways. From publishing the weekly Dolphin Digest (school-wide newsletter), organizing Community Care Days, managing the lost & found, maintaining the in-school hygiene station, and welcoming new families with tours for kindergarten/incoming students, the PTA's influence is felt throughout.
We hope that we can create community connection through recurring events like family movie nights, and the gatherings for BIPOC and neurodivergent families, and annual events like the Fall Festival, Winter Bazaar, Spring Jamboree, ensuring that students and families feel supported and included.
Welcome to the Arleta community!
We want every Arleta family to have the opportunity to be a PTA member!
We suggest a $15 donation to help cover PTA dues and support programs and activities at Arleta. If you’re able to contribute less—or nothing at all—the PTA will cover the remaining cost of one membership per household.
Our vision is to create a welcoming space for students and their families to proudly and confidently celebrate their identities and feel a strong sense of belonging at Arleta.
In partnership with the school, families, and community, our mission is to cultivate a culture that strengthens social-emotional connection, respect for intersecting identities, and school pride.
General PTA Meetings are hosted in the Arleta Library. To help make participation easier, childcare and dinner will be provided. While we encourage in-person attendance, a remote option via Zoom will also be available. PTA General meetings are open to all, though only current PTA members may vote- so make sure to sign up and become a member!
Elected Board members are asked to join and can vote at Board meetings. Team Leads and other PTA members are also welcome to attend. Wondering if a Board position might be right for you? Sit in on a board meeting to get a better idea of the work of these crucial PTA members!
