Sadie Bach (she/her)
I have a first-grader at Arleta and a four-year-old. My husband Travis and I have lived in the Foster-Powell neighborhood for over 12 years. Witnessing the area's growth and development has been a joy. I am passionate about connecting with our community, and I am absolutely thrilled to be part of the PTA team.
In my spare time, I enjoy family bike rides, hiking, traveling, swimming, and working in the garden.

My wife and I have three kids — Harrison, who is in Ms. Maggie’s 2nd grade class, plus a preschooler and one not yet in school — and we’re excited to be part of the Arleta community. By day, I work at Portland General Electric, where I evaluate big projects to make sure they’re reliable and cost-effective. At Arleta, I also serve on the Site Council as a parent representative. Outside of work, I’m a big fan of Stephen King novels, love family trips to Sunriver and the Oregon Coast, and enjoy playing video games, pickleball, and cheering on the Timbers (I caught my first match this past summer!).

This will be my first year as PTA Treasurer at Arleta Elementary. My wife Marisea, our son Julian, our dog Finnick, and I are proud to call this vibrant school and neighborhood home. When I'm not crunching numbers for the PTA, you can find me crunching numbers for the Portland VA where I do health research. You'll likely find our family camping in Oregon's beautiful outdoors or tending to our garden (which often means an ongoing battle with weeds). We're a family that loves to learn and try new things - we're constantly picking up random hobbies and skills, much to our own amusement and occasional frustration. It's this enthusiasm for learning and community involvement that I'm excited to bring to my role as PTA treasurer.
Tiffany Blackmon (she/her)
I have a kindergartener, and a third grader at Arleta, as well as a two-year-old. I grew up in the Foster-Powell neighborhood and lived here until I moved away for college, and was thrilled to return to the neighborhood as an adult to raise a family. When I'm not volunteering with kids' activities, I serve as General Counsel for Cascadia Health, and spend my free time baking, trying new restaurants and coffee shops, and volunteering on the board of the Junior League of Portland.
Lisa Hugelier (she/her)
I moved to Portland from Southeast Michigan in 2006. I enjoy camping, hiking, paddle boarding, seeing live music, reading, and just spending time with my family. I am a former teacher and I have three amazing children. My son Henry will be starting at Kellogg this year in 6th grade! He has been at Arleta since Kindergarten so this is a big transition year for us. Emmett is in 4th grade here at Arleta and my youngest, Nora, is in 1st this year! We love the Arleta community and I am so excited to take on this new role as Family Engagement and Volunteer Coordinator. Our teachers and our families are what make this school so special. I’ve got some fun ideas to keep building upon this strong and welcoming community.

Hello! I’m mom to Finn and Ronan. Finn is in 2nd grade and Ronan is in 1st. I am an Oregon native and my husband Zach and I have lived in SE Portland for 16 years. This is my second year serving on the PTA board as events chair. I’m very excited to be working along side Arley again and putting on some fun and exciting events for everyone. Building community is my heart and I look forward to connecting with more of you this year. In my free time I enjoy gardening, reading and eating my way through Portlands restaurants! Please stop and say hello if you see me around, I’d love to chat!
Arley Ann Laman (she/her)
I’m a born and raised Portlandian, and have lived in Foster-Powell since 2019. My partner (James), his son (Harper - 7th grade), and my daughter, (Dottie - 2nd grade) all love living in this neighborhood, and are very excited to be part of the Arleta community. This will be my first time volunteering for PTA, and I’m really looking forward to helping organize some very fun events for the kids and families!
I work in Business Development for a large plumbing manufacturer, so I travel a fair amount for work, and bring my family along whenever I can. We love road tripping, National Parks, camping, live music, The Portland Pickles, and the Blazers!
Savannah (she/her) Dombeck
We have called Portland home since 2017, moving from Eugene where we met during Brian’s graduate studies at the University of Oregon, where Savannah worked in administration.
We are the proud parents of three wonderful children: Harrison, a spirited first grader at Arleta; Vivian, an energetic and imaginative 3.5-year-old; and Hazel, our family’s delightful one-year-old.
We love the Arleta community and are looking forward to our first year as joint secretaries on the PTA. When we're not managing the busy life of three young children, we enjoy paddle boarding, attending concerts, and have recently picked up pickleball as a new hobby.
Adinah D'Andrea (she/her)
Along with parenting two wild hearted kids, Inez Indra-4th and Lou Iya-1st, with my husband Chris, I consider propagation and proliferation of plant species native to the West as my heart work and greenhouses as home away from home. My professional training is in horticulture and I’ve spent a couple decades working veins of the field including design, consulting and nursery production. I’m looking forward to continuing to help facilitate meaningful place-based immersive experiences for the kids here at Arleta and offer this land some care. Track me down if you have a vision or skill set that aligns!
Melissa Hemphill (she/her)
My eldest child, Henry, is a second grader at Arleta, and my younger son is already excited to join as a kindergartener next year. I grew up in Canby and have lived in SE Portland for over 20 years. I enjoy adventuring outdoors with my kids, rock climbing and reading. On the other hand, I'm a terrible gardener and cook but will keep trying! I work in a family medicine clinic nearby and care deeply about training family medicine doctors to be what our community needs. My husband Jacob and I are happy to be part of the Arleta community and I look forward to getting more involved with art projects around the school!
Lizzie Wiesehan (she/her)
I’m originally from Austin, Texas, where I met my husband, Theo. In 2015 we moved to his native Pacific Northwest, and we love raising our children here. Our son, Huck, is now in second grade, and our daughter, Zelma, just started Kindergarten at Arleta.
This is my second year serving on the Arleta PTA, and I’m excited to continue fostering community and bringing people together. I have an eye for detail, a love of organization, and plenty of energy to contribute. When I’m not working on school projects, you’ll usually find me swimming, canoeing, backpacking, knitting, laughing with friends, and—at the very top of the list—skiing with my family. I look forward to connecting with many of you this year!
